Major Non-Profit Organization Has Paid Internship

Grant Intern Position: 

Well recognized non-profit organization is seeking an intern that can help in arts administration. Duties include: fielding applicant questions, coordinating communication between grant program chairs, logging in entries, follow-up with applicants, distributing materials to judges, notifying winners, etc.

The hours will be variable.  Initially, it will be a few hours a week but when the entries come in and the judging takes place there may be some full-time weeks as applications come in and are distributed to judges.  The position will run from late February to late July. 

General administrative and MS Excel experience required.

Mobile Media Network Seeks Spring Interns

Large mobile media network is seeking interns to help in their Entertainment Division with the daily production of content. Candidates should be hard-working, dependable, on time, and conscientious. Should have an interest in the production of video content for a range of formats and devices, have an understanding of and an interest in emerging mobile technologies, be well-versed in music and popular culture, and be up to date on the latest social networking interfaces. Word, Excel, Power Point and Final Cut Pro ability are pluses.

The internship will focus primarily on online promotion and viral marketing of the content, as well as helping with various aspects of production. An ideal candidate would have a background in Media/TV/Film, and be willing to learn various aspects of production. Job duties will include assisting entertainment group with all aspects of production including, logging and organizing videotaped content, providing creative input for various projects, gathering stills and video assets for shows, researching subjects of shows such as bands and celebrities, compiling and collating data for reports, working with producers and executives on various company initiatives, blogging for the music channels, help keep up with Twitter, FaceBook, Myspace and YouTube accounts.

 

Documentary Film Internship – San Francisco

Award-winning documentary filmmaker, Leo Chiang, is looking for an intern to assist in production and distribution work at his San Francisco-based production company, Walking Iris Films. Our two current projects are A VILLAGE CALLED VERSAILLES (http://avillagecalledversialles.com), our PBS/Independent Lens documentary currently in distribution, and MR. CAO GOES TO WASHINGTON, our new PBS film about Rep. Joseph Cao (R-New Orleans) currently in preproduction.

We’re looking for someone with enthusiasm, professionalism, and organizational skills. MS Excel & Word skill is a must. Final Cut knowledge is a plus. A great opportunity to work with nice folks and gain documentary experience. It’s currently a no-pay position (with potential future paying projects) with a transportation stipend, intern credit, and meals. Looking for someone who can dedicate one to two full or half days a week for a minimum of 3 months and preferably longer.

Lighting / Grip intern - Pleasanton

Large soundstage needs lighting / grip interns for pre-lighting, wrap and on set (during shooting). Specifically looking for folks interested in working as grip / electricians with the long-term goal of being a Gaffer, Key Grip and / or D.P.

Marketing / Admin Intern - San Francisco

8 hours weekly for Spring 2010 semester.

This is not a production internship but the student will be exposed to our process of self-distribution and promotion and potentially learn how to plan a self distribution strategy that involves publicity, new media and online sales.

This position is unpaid but there is a possibility of a stipend to be paid at the end of the semester.

Game Company looking for a Cinematic Artist & Video Intern

Gaming company looking for a talented and promising Cinematic Artist Intern and Video Editor to assist the art team in creating compelling in-game cutscenes in Telltale’s proprietary tool. The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of composition, timing and editing as well as a good understanding of storytelling, acting and cinematography.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create compelling cutscenes and interactive dialogs with excellent pacing, acting, and timing using animation libraries.
- Communicate with Designers and Leads to improve readability of visual storytelling.
- Set up cameras and actor staging.
- Balance quality with efficiency when working under tight deadlines.
- Follow and maintain pipelines and technical requirements.
- Work with designers and art director to establish continuity of the story with gameplay.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Essential verbal and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of acting basics including posing and timing.
- Good knowledge of cinematography and editing.
- Self motivated team player.
- Ability to quickly learn new software.
