Broadcast Design/VFX Internship

Paid Internship

Broadcast design and animation company working with clients from MTV to Microsoft seeks Design intern.

We are a design-based production company located in San Francisco dedicated to creating on-target branding with motion graphics, live action, 3D and character animation. Our small shop fabricates top notch design work for advertising, broadcast and corporate clients including: Adidas, Blue Shield, Comcast, Footlocker, Gap Inc., HBO, Jet Blue, Microsoft, Mattel, MTV, Nike, PBS, Saturn, Sci-Fi Channel, Toyota, USA Network, VH1 and Women’s Funding Network.

We’re looking for students who are currently studying filmmaking, post-production, broadcast production or advertising with a goal toward Broadcast Design. Interns will be expected to assist in various tasks, including (but not limited to) research, animation, compositing, and administration. This internship offers immediate exposure to the post-production and digital production industry. Interns are paid $50 per day.

Solid knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator is a must, and experience with 3d (Max/C4D/Maya) is a bonus. Please have online samples of After Effects animation/design.

Candidates must be very self-motivated, play well with others, and be willing to pitch in where needed. Great sense of humor required.

Production Internship

Paid Internship

We are a broadcast design and animation company based in San Francisco, and we’re looking for an energetic and creative self-starter to join our team for the summer as a production intern.

Some of our clients include MTV, VH1, Microsoft, and Adidas. We are looking for someone to assist the production team as well work on smaller projects of his or her own. Get hands on production experience with an industry leader working with 3D, 2D and live action production. This could be a stepping-stone to production coordinator for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include:
• Updating production schedules
• Researching freelance artists and updating freelance database
• Updating digital database
• Assisting production team with various jobs
• General office work
• Running errands

Requirements:
• Must be currently enrolled in college or have a bachelors degree
• Highly organized
• Works well with others
• Great sense of humor
• Previous experience in broadcast production desirable but not necessary
• Knowledge of MS Project, Photoshop/ illustrator a plus

Commercial Production Company - San Francisco

Interested in working for a company that produces commercials?

We are seeking a motivated, outgoing, friendly individual who is interested
in getting some experience working for a commercial production company.

Duties include but are not limited to: Creating director reels and menus,
helping prepare for commercial shoots, posting on the web, running errands,
and some general office duties. Experience with Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio
Pro, Photoshop and Microsoft office a plus; web experience is great, but
it’s not expected.

This is a great opportunity for students or recent grads. It is an unpaid
position with possibilities for paid PA work with us in the future. This
is an excellent way to meet people in the industry, make connections, and
gain practical experience. You’ll have contact with the exec producer, head
of production, directors, and more.

DVD Distribution Intern - San Francisco

Position: DVD Distribution Intern
Hours: 15 hours per week
COMPENSATION: This is a part-time, non-paid position of negotiable length

Job Description:

There is the opportunity for this internship to develop into a paid position within the company.
FOUNDED IN 1996, our company is a leading international rights manager, exhibitor, and specialty markets distributor of the “moving image arts.” We specialize in the acquisition, exhibition, and distribution of independently produced works of an artistic and socially-relevant nature. We offer a unique and diverse catalogue of international DVD titles are distributed worldwide. New delivery platforms such as mobile TV, video on demand, podcasting, and mobile telephony are also used to reach new audiences and new venues.
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION: We seek a qualified and passionate intern to assist in all aspects of independent DVD distribution, sales, and marketing. The intern will gain experience in targeted product marketing, internet research and web promotions in addition to independent DVD production and distribution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Update and maintain online database of filmmakers, films, venues and other related information.
• Assist in the creation of an online marketing plan relevant to the company as well as specific DVD products released into the marketplace.
• General clerical duties.
• Shipping and Receiving. Some lifting required.
